Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Motabhai (motabhai.tax), operated in the United Arab Emirates. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Read them carefully. They're written in plain English on purpose.

What Motabhai is

Motabhai is a self-serve tool that calculates VAT and corporate tax estimates from data you provide. It gives general tax information, not professional tax advice.

You remain responsible for your own filings with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), the accuracy of the information you enter, and any decisions you make from what the tool shows.

Accounts

You sign in with an email one-time code or Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. Anyone with access to it can sign in as you.

A business has an owner and can invite staff and an accountant. The owner controls who has access and what they can see. If you were invited to a business, the owner can change or remove your access at any time.

Subscription and billing

The paid plan is billed through Stripe. Pricing is AED 299 per month when billed annually, or AED 349 per month billed monthly. Prices exclude VAT.

You can cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. You keep access until then and are not charged again.

Card details never touch our servers. Stripe processes and stores all payment data.

Your data is yours

You can export the data you've entered, and you can request deletion of your account and its data. Email code@motabhai.tax and we'll action it.

Acceptable use

Use Motabhai for lawful business purposes only. Don't attempt to breach security, probe or scan the service, misuse other accounts, or use the service to break the law.

Accuracy and liability

We work hard to keep the calculations correct and up to date with UAE tax rules. That said, the service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in the service replaces the advice of a registered tax agent. For final filing decisions, confirm with your agent.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new date. Continued use after that means you accept the update.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
